Without further ado, let’s get down to business! Specifically – business and networking events in Birmingham and the Midlands!
Birmingham Entrepreneurs Meet Up Club will be meeting in 1000 trades on Frederick Street, on Tuesday, December 10th. This regular event is for both new and established business owners in the Birmingham area who want to meet new connections, share hints and tips, and learn about funding in the area.
Since this event runs fortnightly, we would suggest that any new business owner in Birmingham keep an eye out for their times and dates. This is a great group to help you get our proverbial foot in the door when you start working for yourself in and around Birmingham.
The Birmingham Business Networking Dinner event allows you to have a Christmas night out – even if you don’t have a team yet! Enjoy a three-course meal with other Birmingham based small business owners and don’t be alone for the festive season. There will be music and entertainment along with your meal, and you have the choice of days over the 21-22nd of December.
This is a workshop aimed at helping those new to business, or those who have always wanted to go into business for themselves but haven’t made the move yet – to learn about the business world. This is a practical experience put together and led by Peter Hill in the Library of Birmingham in Broad Street. The event takes place on the 19th of December and is free to attend.
This expo will be held at Birmingham International Convention Centre and should bring together an array of managers, innovators, business owners and all types of associated businesses from across a range of industries. The event will take place over two days, starting on the 16th of December. On Tuesday the UK Association Awards will also take place, followed by a 2 pm luncheon.
The association of Women in Business (WIBN) are running this event specifically for women in business in Birmingham. To unify and solidify female working partnerships across all sectors of industry; this event has been arranged to take place at Ramada by Wyndham in Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield.
This is a brilliant event for those seeking to work with other strong female leaders. One cautionary word though; they will only accept one business or firm from each sector of the industry. Get your application in ASAP for the best chances of being accepted for this event.
The 2019 theme for this annual event will be “Delivering our Potential”. The Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership are well-known promoters of business networking in the area. This event is a little different in that the main focus of the partnership is to work together to achieve the betterment of the local area. The partnership brings together like-minded locals who want to focus on the future of Birmingham, and building better community links on a business level.
This event is ideal for anyone who works in B2C industries. This year, it will take place on 27th November at the CBSO Centre.
Muslim women in the UK are making up more and more of the workforce. As they take on roles across all sectors of industry, it has become increasingly important that their contribution to employment in the UK is recognised.
Held at Purecraft Bar and Kitchen, this year’s Let’s Talk business event is being held by the Part-Time Entrepreneur’s Network. This informal event is a great way to meet other small business owners in the area. They don’t just want new business owners – established ones are welcome too.
What we like about this event is that it opens up the world of business ownership to the newly emerging gig economy. There are more than a few small business owners that only operate part-time hours. If that sounds like your cup of tea, then look them up.
This event is somewhat exclusive to those interested in investing in property. That being said: property and estates are big business throughout the UK. If you are new to this area of industry and want to make a lasting impression on the established, then we wouldn’t recommend that you miss this event.
This is a fully free networking event that should help you break into the industry. You can attend it on Thursday, 21st November, at Zen Metro.
10 – Maker Monday
Maker Monday isn’t just annually – it’s also monthly. The November Edition will take place at 1000 trades. This group of craft type entrepreneurs meet up monthly to discuss, create, and inspire one another. Working full time in the creative industries can be incredibly isolating – and few businesses need networking more than the arts do! Getting out and about is essential to the maker… and this regular meet up allows you to do so.
You will find them on the 25th November this year, but if you miss this one you won’t have long to wait for the next one.
